Albert Shen on the issues

Affordable housing

Would prefer to build affordable housing in outlying areas of the city, where city will be able to build more and get more bang for its buck.

Arena

He has concerns about the use of taxpayer money for a proposed Sodo sports arena.

Coal trains

Shen thinks Seattle should focus on environmental battles with "tangible results," like mass transit, instead of coal trains passing through Seattle.

Public financing of elections

Shen opposes public financing of elections, which is on the ballot as Proposition 1, because he feels it gives incumbents an unfair advantage.
