Port of Seattle Commissioner, Position 1

John Creighton

Lawyer, 47

Persona
Experienced optimist.
Big idea
While the seaport is suffering, the Port should focus on the airport and cruise terminals, which are booming.
Residence
Bellevue
Conventional wisdom
On a newly focused, business-oriented Port Commission, Creighton would be most likely to question the Port's business as usual.
Baggage
In 2009, an ex-girlfriend accused him of stalking her. She said she withdrew her petition for a protection order after he paid her $5,000. (Creighton said most of the allegations were "completely untrue.")
Family
Single.

"I’m running for re-election in part because I've never been so optimistic about the Port of Seattle and our future. " — John Creighton
