Steve Kasner on the issues

City Council ethics rules

Kasner wants to toughen the city’s ethics code, saying strict rules against conflicts of interest in Seattle, Kirkland and Federal Way haven’t discouraged candidates from running for office in those cities.

Working with Sound Transit on light rail

Kasner blames Wallace for delaying the project by promoting a route that Sound Transit rejected, and he says the priority now must be on building it right, not reducing the city’s bill for the downtown tunnel.
